Dear Texas,

October 22, 2010 § Leave a comment

You have had your ups & downs. You have made me utter the phrase “I’m sooo bored” (a phrase I loathe by the way) one too many times. But you’ve also forced me to look inside myself & discover things that I’m glad I’m learning now; rather than 10 years down the road.

For one, you’ve taught me that I have a very addictive personality. This quality can be a good thing when applied to things that will enhance my life, but not so much when they are destructive habits that produce regret.

You’ve taught me to not be so judgmental & that judging others only reflects back on me as a person who needs to judge.

You’ve taught me the power of reading. Book after book after book…

You’ve taught me that I just might hate Political Science, and it’s ok to finish my Masters & move on to something that truly inspires me.

You’ve taught me that I’m a Runner! And I can do anything I put my mind to.

You’ve shown me how lucky I am to have such an amazing dedicated husband that will love me no matter what.

And last but not least…you’ve made me appreciate Florida in all it’s life and beauty. I am so fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful state, Bradenton, Florida will forever be My Home.
