Mellow Yellow

I painted the bedroom today.

It looked like this before

And now it looks like this.

The lighting is much better in the first photo, but even though I didn’t even pick the initial color (it was painted as an accent wall when we moved in) I’m not totally sold on the new color yet.

It’s Behr’s Moon Dance. I tried the paint and primer duo, but since I was painting over a saturated color, it took about 3 coats to get an even finish.

I’m working on some ideas for wall paintings, but I don’t have anything ready for show yet.

On an athletic note, marathon training has been giving me an insane appetite. I feel like a 15 year old boy. I know training burns a ton of calories, but I’m certainly replacing them like nobody’s business. I just hope I can tone it down after the marathon.

Don’s at work tonight, so I’m catching up on my guilty pleasure – Season 4 of Army Wives via Netflix. Season 5 starts on Sunday so I want to be caught up! I feel like such a cheeseball for watching this show, but it was my intro to the Mil Life, and even though it is dramatized, I think the writers do a considerable job making military wives feel less ostracized. Thankfully I haven’t experienced a fraction of the difficult situations played out on the show – but I embrace the show for publicizing the realities of the military lifestyle.

Where Am I?
